Director Jason Zada’s Take This Lollipop is not only the most successful scary viral video in web history, it has prompted viewers to film their reactions as they “take the Lollipop.” As web guru Porter Gale wrote at AdAge.com, ”a viral video is, in essence, sparking viral videos.”
Take This Lollipop’s millions upon millions of viewers have also posted their reactions as text and pictures on social media sites all over the world. Comparisons between Bill Oberst Jr. in Take This Lollipop and Daniel Craig are common in these, with one tech site writing that Oberst “looks like a malnourished Daniel Craig.”
