Bill Oberst Jr. Wallpapers: Behind-The-Scenes "Dismal"

Oberst’s face licking scene with Kane was not scripted. It was suggested on set by director King, who asked Oberst to lick Kane’s face without warning her to evoke a reaction of pure terror. “He said he’d cover my ass with Capel afterwards and tell her that he made me do it. So I went all out on the first take,” said Oberst “I didn’t want to put her through that more than once. I knew Gary was going to use the shot when I heard her scream. My ears rang all day.”

Kane and fellow long-suffering Dismal cast member Meagan Reedy later showed their good humor about the shoot by posing for an article on the film in Girls And Corpses magazine with some decimated friends.
