Director Jason Zada’s Emmy Award winning interactive short horror film starring Bill Oberst Jr, Take This Lollipop, is still the world’s fastest-growing Facebook application, and is now officially the most popular in Facebook history.

Since its debut on Oct 17, 2011  Take This Lollipop has generated 13 million “likes” and over 100 million unique hits.

The viral sensation has been the subject of coverage from  Forbes,  CNN,  Ad Week,  Ad Age, Germany’s Spiegel TV, the U.K.’s Daily Mail, The New York Times and hundreds of blogs and sites from around the world.

Take This Lollipop was awarded a 2012 Daytime Emmy Award by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the category of “New Approaches-Daytime Entertainment,” beating out competitors The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Today Show and The Bold & The Beautiful to take top honors in the category.
